A clean litter box makes for a healthy and happy cat. We recommend replacing Modkat Reusable Liners when there are signs of fraying, or after 3 months time to keep bacteria and odor in check. The integrity of the liners depends on how many cats use the litter box, how much litter is used, and how ferociously they scratch. Daily scooping and sustaining the litter level at 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) will maximize their life.

The newer (to me) liner entry area accepts the foot clamp more easily than the original liner and is an improvement.

very durable, I know you are supposed to change these every few months but we used the same one for over a year before changing and there were no damages from scratches or anything at all, it made changing the litter very easy.

Love the boxes

I have had modkat boxes for about 5 years now, the liners are fab and, if your cats aren’t too « claws out » when using them, last for ages!

As an aside - i would love to be able to block the roof entry (in the same way you can block the front) as both my cats are now a little too elderly to be using it…
